Body Memory

My hands know you
And the nooks of my windpipe
The synapses of my brain
Will know you when you're here again.
Light and shadow don't phase me;
My fingerprints align
To the map of you
Etched in my mind.
Breaths trip over
Each other on their way
In and out
Letting me take more
Than I thought possible
With you
Nothing is surface level
With every move
You dig deeper
Take me further
And withdraw more
Than the last thrust.
You blow the covers off
Carefully structured
Social constructs.
You open doors
I didn't know were shut.
You take control
And take over
And over
And over again...
Till my brain knows you
Till, like braille I can read
The constellation of your scars
Aligned to body memory.
